Training of Trainers on New Enterprise Creation
» Introduction The role of Small & Medium Enterprise (SME) sector in economic development and employment generation is now well recognized. While new entrepreneurs emerge spontaneously, their numbers are not significant enough to hasten the pace of SME development. There are individuals from all walks of life possessing latent entrepreneurial potential but unable to realize it due to a variety of constraints including lack of information/knowledge and fear of failure. Tapping such latent potential calls for a systematic approach to identification and selection of `developable' talents and nurturing them right from the stage of opportunity identification to project implementation. This process calls for well equipped trainers/facilitators. Accordingly, a program to develop a resource pool of facilitators is scheduled.
» Objectives
• To help the participants understand the process of Entrepreneurship Development and the support needs of various target groups such as urban youth, educated unemployed, women, rural youth etc.
» Who Can Participate?
The program is open to all those professionals who have an inclination and commitment to operate as facilitators for Entrepreneurship Development. The participants are required to possess a University Degree - preferably in business studies, Commerce, technology or behavioral sciences. Hands-on experience of interacting with entrepreneurs in the capacity of Consultants, Trainers, Industry Promotion Officers etc., is highly advantageous.
In the interest of benefiting from multifarious backgrounds, it is suggested that the participants could consist of a mix of Teachers, Trainers, Consultants, Appraisal Officers, Extension Officers and Industry Promotion Officers.
